Remember when… The Spotify CEO Switched from Music to Medical Diagnostics
“Swedish medical diagnostics company Neko Health, co-founded by Spotify CEO Daniel Ek, has raised €60 million ($65.4 million) in a venture capital funding round to expand beyond Sweden.
The investment was led by VC firm Lakestar, with participation from Atomico, General Catalyst, and Skype co-founder Niklas Zennstrom. Neko Health operates private clinics equipped with its proprietary full-body 3D scanner and AI software, providing instant results for skin conditions and cardiovascular health.”

“Conception, a biotech startup based in Berkeley, is aiming to revolutionize human reproduction through in vitro gametogenesis (IVG). They are working to turn induced pluripotent stem cells into human eggs, potentially allowing women who have lost their eggs due to cancer treatment, or those who have never been able to produce healthy eggs, to have genetically related babies at any age.”

“Botinkit, a cooking robot company, has raised $13 million in a Series A funding round to expand its culinary robots to Europe and the Middle East SoftBank has invested in Rice Robotics, the maker of adorable delivery robots used in its Tokyo headquarters, contributing to a $7 million pre-Series A funding round. Beijing-based ForwardX, specializing in warehouse logistics and inventory management robots, has raised $30 million in a recent funding round, bringing its Series C to $61 million and total funding to $140 million.”
